Course Profile:

This course will run over two days

This in-person course is run by the National Talent Academies: Film & TV Crew Academy West & South. The aim of the course is to provide participants with the basic knowledge required to start on a production and be ‘set-ready’.  It is a practical hands-on course and will enable participants to hit the ground running on their first day on the set of a production.

Film & TV Crew West is managed by Atlantic Academy

Course content:

  • Crew roles and job descriptions
  • Overview of the organisational structure of a production
  • Understanding essential production documents such as call sheets, schedules and movement orders.
  • Filling out start forms and timesheets
  • Set Lingo
  • Using walkie talkies
  • Red light, bell and stage doors
  • Set culture

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at new entrants and trainee crew who want to work or are working in the live-action Film & TV Drama Industry.

The course is limited to 12 participants at each location

Tutor Profiles:

Adrienne Greenhalgh has been working in the Film & TV industry as a 2nd Assistant Director for the last 25 years.  She worked internationally for Fox and Starz networks on Outlander and Tyrant.  She has also worked on small indigenous Irish productions and larger-scale productions including Vikings: Valhalla (Netflix).  She has worked on productions for AMC, Netflix, ITV, BBC and RTE, to name a few.  Her credits include; Vikings: Valhalla, MoonhavenRedemption, Into the BadlandsThe Fall, A Date for Mad Mary, Rebellion, Charlie, Love/Hate, and many more.

Adrienne had the opportunity to train with and learn from excellent Assistant Directors on large and small productions.  She is passionate about training and up-skilling in the Screen Industry and is looking forward to sharing her experience and expertise.
